There Aren't Enough Days in a Weekend...Even a Long One

We Celebrated my sister's birthday this weekend and it was absolutely lovely - I spent time with family and friends, tore up the dance floor, and laughed until my stomach hurt...can you think of anything more perfect?

A party means:

Lots of beautiful girls, all in beautiful dresses
(Some of my sister's closest friends, all of whom are are wearing their own dresses.)

And one especially special beautiful girl, in a really really beautiful dress
(This is my sister (the birthday girl) wearing a stunning dress that we found at Bloomingdale's in Palm Beach, FL)
The perfect jewels for every look
(My cousin borrowed a pair of my crystal earrings by JLRicci Jewelry - she looked amazing in them, per usual.)

The pink and white decor, dimmed lighting, and hanging crystals made the venue memorable intimate

(My mother spent the day perfecting the Waterman Grille, in preparation for lots of party people. Everything was gorgeous and was a reflection of all the hard work put into making the party perfect.)

Hey Everyone,
I am back and ready to get back to my blogging routine - thank the good Lord for computer fix-it guys. Anyway, this past weekend was my sister's birthday, as you may know, and the celebration was even better than anticipated. I can safely say that I got enough groove on for the next couple of weeks at least and that the food and music was out of this world amazing. The best part though, was being in a room full of some of the greatest people I know -  I have amazing family and friends and am so blessed to have them in my life. Not only do they have the biggest hearts and smiles, they also have great dresses and shoes and suits and ties. As you can see in the picture above, my friends happen to have such cute, individual style and all wore dressed that they had previously owned to this very fancy spring soiree. I wore a BCBG gold and cream cocktail dress and of course had to pair it with the sparkliest shoes I could find (which held up the entire night, I may add) from Nine West. My sister's dress was magnificent and though I've been teasing her about saving it so that I can borrow it for my wedding, I think she made the absolute right decision and was the true light and life of the party. Can you tell that it was wonderful? Now that I'm back on track, keep an eye out for new (daily) posts and thank you all for being so patient!

xoxo,
D

  1. Hey Devyn. I'm so excited I found your blog. I'm a new follower, I hope you will as well. I started my blog a little over a month ago. It's all about celebrity fashion from the point of view of an LA stylist. Stop by to see multiple post a day on all the latest celebrity fashion news and check out pictures from the fall/winter preview I attended yesterday in Beverly Hills. Would love your support. xoxo
